Nokia Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:NOK): Nokia Siemens Network reports sluggish revenue in India

Nokia CorporationThe renowned global venture of Nokia Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:NOK) in telecom sector Nokia Siemens Network recently disclosed decline in sales by 19.1 % from India as the operators in the country have curbed spending. For the year ended December 31st 2012 the sales were reported about 737 million Euros.

The company is a venture between Nokia Corporation and Siemens. In India the venture posted 2 % fall in its total revenue at 13.37 billion Euros last year. the venture did exercised certain restructuring and divestments however the sales were 13.64 billion Euros in 2011. From the country the venture was able to drive net sales of 911 million Euros in 2011.

The network operator spending has significantly reduced in China and India that resulted in reduction in sales for the venture. However the highest revenue growth was reported in Japan, Asia Pacific and North America.

On the international level the operating loss was reported to 741 million Euros in last year. However in 2011 the global operating loss was reported around 209 million Euros.

Coming to the stock performance in last Session; Nokia Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:NOK) in last trading session end up at $3.44 by  rising up 1.32% with traded volume of 39.76 million shares which is down  the average volume of 45.32 million shares.

The stock price saw week’s volatility of 3.38% and month’s volatility is 3.47%, while the stock price of the company is moving down from its 20 days moving average with -3.97% and isolated negatively from 50 days moving average with -12.94%.

Looking at Analytic Ratios; the price to sales ratio of NOK in past twelve months was calculated as 0.34 and price to cash ratio as 0.98. Company return on equity ratio is recorded as -31.16% and its return on assets is -11.46%.
