A top security rating award has been given to 2013 “Ford Focus” from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F)’s Focus received a five-star Overall Vehicle Score in NHTSA’s New Car Assessment Program (NCAP) testing, which unites vehicle performance in frontal and side-impact crash tests and a resistance to rollover assessment.
Global director of the Automotive Safety Office, Steve Kenner discussed that the new Focus is another illustration of Ford Motor Company (F)’s commitment to safety and NHTSA’s NCAP program has accepted this fact. Focus made technologies from bumper to bumper to help decrease occupant injury risk when a crash is obvious.
Changan-Ford, company which manufactures and sells Ford cars in China, yesterday unveiled a slightly longer model of the Ford EcoSport mini SUV at the Guangzhou Auto Show in China.
A new model of Ford EcoSport mini SUV car is 39 mm greater in length than the Brazil and India spec EcoSport, and 9 mm of the excess length comes in the form of an improved wheelbase. There is no sub-four meter norm in China and Ford Motor Company (F) has made a decision to give a bit of extra legroom, which would be welcomed by the rear-bench-loving Chinese.
Chinese EcoSport will be motorized by the 1.5 litre usually aspirated petrol engine which generates 108.6 bhp of power and 138 Nm of torque. The engine is designed to be operated by either a 5-speed manual or 6-speed Powershift automatic gearbox.
Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) is also performing well in current trading session and is currently trading at $11.02 by increasing 0.92% at 9:50AM EST.
