The three dominating China’s internet firms Baidu.com (BIDU), Alibaba.com and Tencent Holdings Ltd have productively tapped worldwide funding in current year, stockpiling a mutual $6 billion in debt despite investor skepticism about opaque Chinese firms.
The large three plans to utilize the money to pay their industry advantage at home, to contend better abroad and possibly to purchase cash-starved competitors.
However, especially low interest rates on U.S. government bonds, the benchmark against which most debt is calculated, have ambitious down borrowing expenses around the world. That has been a benefit to corporate borrowers who are finding plenty of yield-hungry financiers, willing to expend long-term credit.
